Fire Ballet: sans fire

Brooklyn trained in classical ballet for 11 years in New Hampshire. She performed in Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Les Sylphides, Carmina Burana, and nine seasons of the Nutcracker. Her training included one summer with the Boston Ballet's Summer Workshop. She was introduced to fire arts at Burningman in 2001, and quickly fell in love with fire dancing. Merging her love of ballet with fire, fireballet was born. She has performed in Los Angeles, Black Rock City, and Detroit. Beyond fire ballet, non fire acts include an unlimited range of characters and costume designs, circus ballerina acts, and abstract modern ballet fusion performance art creations. She has performed with The Clan Destino, Evaluna, Kucoon, Cirque du Womp, ArcheDream for Humankind, and Stilt Circus. Brooke is also a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, with her Master's degree in public health, she works on various Congo peace projects... when she's not dancing.
